"Midnight Departure" was our very first webcomic! This very short story, posted in August 2007,  was meant as a companion piece and prologue to the print comic "Midnight Train," from March of the same year. I wanted to keep the webcomics relatively tame at the start, so this story just hints at what happened to the bad guy. Artist Mike Jenkins illustrated both stories, and I love the way his art style works with the ominous events in both.
