I do have some rules, which are pretty loose. I'll add more as I think of them, or if you ask about something specific.
Rules include:

*One line on a page doesn't count. If I'm drawing something, it has to be at least one recognizable thing.

*Writing a synopsis for a story idea counts. So does just writing a paragraph of notes about a story I haven't written yet. These are methods I always use to organize my thoughts.

*Traveling from my home in Memphis to another city for a convention counts. For example, if I fly to Philly on Wednesday it counts as something for Wednesday even if the convention isn't until Friday (of course I have to do something else thursday).

*Sleeping determines the cutoff for what I consider a day, rather than 12 midnight. For example, if it's 12:30 am, and I draw something THEN go to bed, it still counts for the previous calendar day. Likewise, I can't write a quick paragraph at 12:10 and let it count for that new day. I'm tracking CONTINUOUS EFFORT and shouldn't be constrained by time zones or DST.

*A rare mid-day nap does not count as a cutoff, only over-night sleeping.

*I may not be able to update this web page every day, but when I do it will track each day's work since the last update.
